BIFF Launches New Website, Date Schedule and Passes on Sale Next Week!

The Berkshire International Film Festival welcomes you back to the Berkshire cultural arts!  Over the last year, like our colleagues at other cultural institutions, we have been physically distanced but socially connected. Our theaters have been quiet, but we discovered that outdoor spaces can house a different kind of theater. We have been shut out, but not shut in, and we have found silver linings in these troubled times.

And, while dormant, we have continued to foster creativity. We created a “pop-up” drive in providing a venue for half of our 2020 selections with many filmmakers in attendance. We presented our Filmmaker Summit, virtually for our 2020 selected filmmakers. We launched a new free educational series, and we continued to offer our popular Environmental Film Focus Series. BIFF not only survived—we thrived.

Today, BIFF is coming back better than ever. We have streamlined our website. Look for fresh and behind-the-scenes content at www.biffma.org over the next few weeks. We are hosting a special 15th-anniversary celebration ahead of our film festival. And we are offering passes and tickets for an in-person festival.

The 2021 Festival will be a hybrid. So, if you do not want to attend screenings in-person, or can’t make it back to the Berkshires for various reasons, you can join us with a virtual pass to a curated online selection of films and talks from the actual festival!

We want to thank our BIFF community-at-large, near and far, for being there for us and with us. We in turn, will keep our promise to bring the world of independent film to the Berkshires. The arts have returned, and we can’t wait to welcome you back to BIFF September 9 – 13, 2021!  Visit our new website at www.biffma.org for more information.
