What compelled you to partner with BIFF?
BIFF felt like a natural fit from the beginning. I’ve always believed that great hospitality and great storytelling go hand-in-hand—and what better way to celebrate that than through film?
Main Street has deep roots in this community, and BIFF shares that same spirit of connection, culture, and curiosity. Partnering with BIFF allows us to open our doors in a different way—to invite people not just to stay in our hotels, but to engage, reflect, and be inspired.
What has your experience been like over the years with BIFF?
Honestly, it’s been a joy. There’s something incredibly energizing about seeing filmmakers, locals, and visitors come together around stories that matter.
I love that BIFF doesn’t take itself too seriously—but still manages to create these meaningful, often transformative, moments. Over the years, it’s become part of the seasonal rhythm of this place—something people genuinely look forward to.
How have you seen the community grow and gather over the years with BIFF?
It’s been beautiful to witness. BIFF has become more than a festival—it’s a gathering point, a catalyst.
I’ve seen people make lifelong friendships in line for a screening. I’ve seen families come back year after year as a tradition. And I’ve seen our local businesses, artists, and storytellers find a bigger stage through BIFF. It’s exactly the kind of community enrichment we’re proud to support.

Hmm… Laura Linney, maybe? She’s got that mix of warmth, grit, and New England energy I relate to—and she does a great “thoughtful but no-nonsense” look.
What’s your go-to movie snack?
Easy: buttered popcorn and a glass of red wine (if we’re being honest). Add dark chocolate if it’s been a long week.
What film title best describes your life?
“A Room with a View”—because I’m always looking ahead, but I never forget where I came from. Also, I do love a well-designed room.
