For the Living
What was your first experience with film and how did it influence your first project?
My first experience with film was back in 1991 when my brother got me a PA job on a high-profile, 10 day shoot in Minneapolis. It was my first real experience on a film set and I knew immediately it wouldn’t be the last because that’s when I realized I was deeply passionate about storytelling through visual media. There were many challenges we faced on that production and I found the resourcefulness and collaborative nature of the crew to be super inspiring. The lessons I learned on that project have stayed with me all these years. and have certainly influenced my work. I remind myself to always stay calm and never say no when it comes to wants that could help enhance the final product.
Who is (are) your favorite filmmakers?
Marc Bennett and Tim Roper!
What are you working on that no one knows about?
I am currently working on adapting a very extensive library of children’s books into animated short films and ultimately, creating a streaming platform of its own.
Who would play you in a movie? What’s your go to movie snack? What’s the film title that best describes your life?
Evangeline Lilly or Susanna Hoffs, even though Susanna isn’t really an actor. Popcorn and hot tamales. “It’s a Wonderful Life.”
