What was your first experience with film and how did it influence your first project?
My first ever memory of watching a movie was when I saw The Toxic Avenger with my Dad. He used to watch exploitation films in the living room, thinking I was way too young to remember any of it. However, burned in my head is Toxie violently putting a girl’s ass on hot sauna rocks and saying something like “how you like that hot ass?!” Fast forward many years later, my first project ended up being a horror movie where I kept pushing for more and more blood/gore to up the horror element. Thanks Dad.
