I studied film and TV at Chapman University’s Dodge College, where I started developing my voice as a filmmaker and began with producing and writing short films. I have always been drawn to telling grounded, emotionally-driven stories that explore parts of the human experience everyone can relate to. Whether that be through a comedy, drama, or thriller, I am drawn to stories that feel personal and real. My pilot Twenty Somethings has won a few screenwriting awards, and my short film Eliza premiered on YouTube at the end of 2024 and is currently screening in some festivals!
Please List the Title of Your Film at BIFF 2025
Eliza
What was your first experience with film and how did it influence your first project?
From a really young age I always remember filming short videos on my parents iphones with my siblings so its always been something I have wanted to do. My first real taste of a “real” set was in college when I had the opportunity to PA on a thesis project and from there I changed my major to film and fully immersed myself in the film world!
Who is (are) your favorite filmmakers?
David Fincher, Emerald Fennell, Charlie Booker, Greta Gerwig, Mike White… this could be a long list!
What are you working on that no one knows about?
I am writing a feature for Eliza and currently directing and producing a documentary!
Who would play you in a movie? What’s your go to movie snack? What’s the film title that best describes your life?
I would probably play the friend of the main character that the audience loves for making sarcastic comments and kinda being in their own world.
Go to movie snack is popcorn and peanut m&ms (taking bites with each at the same time of course)
Film title that best describes my life… hard question!! Maybe “La La Land” or “It’s a Wonderful Life” depending on the day!
