Rebecca’s investigation into the animal skins trade unravels a harrowing story of greenwashing, mislabeling, animal cruelty and cover-ups from some of the world’s major luxury fashion brands. SLAY provides an in-depth and eye-opening look into the realities of today’s fashion industry while pointing the way towards viable and sustainable alternatives. Are you ready to get under fashion’s skin?
There will be a Q&A following the film with Festival Programmer Lillian Lennox and Joshua Katcher, the North America Hub Strategist at Canopy, an award-winning environmental nonprofit working to protect the world’s forests, species, and climate. He convenes key stakeholders to accelerate the adoption of Next Gen materials to keep Ancient and Endangered Forests out of fashion and packaging supply chains.

This event will host a clothing swap – all are encouraged to share gently used clothing. Bring a piece, take a piece! All leftover items will be donated to area shelters.
