FAQ about BIFF ONLINE 2021

Why has BIFF gone virtual this year?
The recent Covid surge is a concern to all of us. And while many of us are vaccinated, we recognize that BIFF’s unique tightly-scheduled non-stop four-day structure does not allow for the vaccine-verification, intensive cleaning and air handling between screenings that would be safest for an indoor event with hundreds of people attending, many from outside Berkshire county. BIFF’s board of directors felt it was our responsibility to pivot to a virtual festival. We are sad but made this decision for our community, BIFF has always had your best interests at heart.

What is BIFF ONLINE?
BIFF is a longtime champion of independent film spirit–The show must go on! With the same energy and enthusiasm that we put into an in-person festival, we will be bringing nearly sixty movies from all over the world into your living rooms that can be viewed any time over the weekend, as well as streaming Tea Talks, and hosting our Filmmaker Summit virtually.

Details on BIFF ONLINE will be available here on the website for pass holders and all others interested in attending BIFF virtually soon. Pass holders will be able to login to their accounts, view the film catalog, and select films for viewing between September 9th – September 12th.
