The Countdown to BIFF Has Officially Begun!

Help Us Select The Next Great Filmmaker!

Berkshire Bank, America’s Most Exciting Bank, in collaboration with the Berkshire International Film Festival, will once again present The Next Great Filmmaker Award.

This fifth annual award is designed to provide increased exposure and support for short filmmakers and continue to invite the community to voice their opinion through an online voting process. Cast Your Vote! The film with the most online votes will be awarded a $2,500 cash award. The announcement of films and online voting begins Friday, April 25 and ends on May 28, 2014.  The winners will be announced opening night at the Beacon on Friday, May 30, 2014.  We will keep you posted when the competition begins  – happy voting!

BIFF is still accepting volunteers to work in Great Barrington and Pittsfield

The BIFF REEL Friends, the Beacon Cinema and Berkshire Bank will present a “See it First Screening” of the highly acclaimed and much anticipated new film from Wes Anderson, THE GRAND BUDAPEST HOTEL – Thursday March 27 at 8:15PM at the Beacon Cinema. Set designer and concept illustrator for the film, Carl Sprague, will talk about the set and be on hand for a Q&A immediately following.

BIFF Hosts Free Community Dinner, Screening and Discussion

THE BIFF is proud to partner with Monument Mountain Regional High School (MMRHS) to present a very special community screening of the award-winning documentary A PLACE AT THE TABLE, narrated by Academy Award winner Jeff Bridges and directed by Kristi Jacobson and Lori Silverbush. The BIFF and MMRHS will present a FREE community dinner followed by the screening on Thursday, March 13 at Monument High School.
